Private Armed Security & Executive Protection
Discreet protection planning for executives, public figures, entertainers and visiting security teams. Discuss your local support requirements, venue advances and protective detail needs through a dedicated security inquiry.
A detail built around the principal
Protection requirements, clearly defined.
Executive and personal protection
Define the coverage required for business leaders, high profile individuals and accompanying family members. The plan should address the itinerary, public exposure, staffing, communications and the principal’s preferences for discretion.
Support for visiting details
An existing bodyguard or executive protection team may need additional locally qualified personnel, venue coordination or advance support. Establish a single detail leader, written responsibilities and a clear handoff before the visit.
Actors, artists and public appearances
Film visits, performances, private events and public appearances call for coordination with the host venue and the client’s representatives. Review arrival arrangements, approved backstage access, crowd exposure and the movement between engagements.
Local knowledge and advance work
Know the area before the visit.
Local familiarity matters in St. George, Washington, Ivins, Hurricane, Springdale and the surrounding Southern Utah area. Advance planning considers the venue layout, surrounding streets, approved back entrances, service access and less traveled approaches.
Primary and alternate routes should be reviewed for the actual date and operating conditions. Access through private roads, loading areas and back entrances requires the venue’s approval. Detailed routes and sensitive site information belong in the client’s private operational plan.
Discuss the site advance, arrival and departure locations, emergency access, nearby medical resources, communications coverage and the people responsible for venue coordination. Confirm these details with the assigned lead before deployment.
Official and dignitary visits
Support that respects the lead protective agency.
Presidential, gubernatorial and other official visits require coordination with the responsible government protection team. Any requested private support must fit the lead agency’s authority, credentialing, access rules and operational plan. This page does not claim government affiliation, a history of protecting named officials, or access to restricted areas.
For a visiting dignitary or public official, identify the authorized point of contact early. Personnel rosters, identification checks, venue approvals and any required screening should be handled through the designated official process.
Qualifications and documentation
Verify the people and the provider.
Agency licensing and insurance
The proposal should identify the actual security provider, its applicable agency license and insurance coverage. Confirm which entity is contracting for and supervising the protection assignment.
Armed personnel credentials
Verify each assigned agent’s current state authorization, firearms qualification and employment through the responsible licensed provider. A concealed carry permit or a background in another profession does not by itself establish every security licensing requirement.
Relevant training
Review documented executive protection experience, threat awareness, communication, de-escalation and role appropriate first aid training. Specialized medical, driving or protection certifications should be identified by issuer and validity when required for the assignment.
Clearance is specific to the assignment.
A state security license, firearms qualification, venue badge and government security clearance are different credentials. Required clearances or restricted site access must be verified through the authority responsible for the visit. No clearance, certification or government authorization is represented here as already held by SGLT or a proposed agent.
Equipment and protective mobility
Specify the right resources.
A protective plan can include vehicle capacity, seating assignments, communications equipment, a support vehicle and any required protective vehicle specifications. The security provider and detail leader should define the resources needed for the assignment.
Armored vehicle requirements, if any, must be confirmed through documented specifications and availability. A luxury SUV is not represented as armored or ballistic rated simply because it is used during a high profile visit.
Personnel, equipment, venue access and cross state operations are confirmed in the written scope. Security arrangements remain separate from ordinary transportation reservations.
State requirements
Plan for the jurisdiction where the work occurs.
Utah
Utah regulates contract security companies and armed private security officers separately. DOPL lists approved basic training, firearms training and fingerprint requirements for armed officers. Verify the company and assigned personnel for the proposed work.
Nevada regulates security businesses and employee work cards through PILB. Armed work involves employer sponsorship, an approved course and recurring firearms qualification. A Utah credential does not establish Nevada authorization.
Arizona DPS regulates security agencies and guard registration. Its licensing guidance states that guard registrations do not transfer between states. Verify the provider, assigned guards and applicable armed training for Arizona work.
Official licensing references reviewed October 30, 2026. The responsible provider verifies the current requirements and authority for the specific engagement.
